The Israeli Army claimed this Monday to have killed dozens of alleged “terrorists” in the framework of the operations carried out during the last 24 hours in the Gaza Strip, most of them in the city of Khan Younis, in the south of the Palestinian enclave.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have indicated in a statement released through their social networks that dozens of them have died in attacks carried out in various parts of the aforementioned town, which has become the main focus in recent weeks. of the confrontations.

Among the units that have participated in these attacks are the 98th Army Division and the Givati brigade, which have also found several weapons warehouses and have seized assault rifles, grenades and magazines, among others. Likewise, Israeli forces have confirmed the death of five other alleged terrorists at the hands of the Nahal brigade in the center of the Gaza Strip.

The Gaza Ministry of Health has put the death toll at more than 27,300 since the beginning of the Israeli military offensive on October 7 in retaliation for the attack by the Palestinian militias that left 1,200 dead on Israeli soil.

The offensive has pushed more than 1.7 million people to leave their homes, so most are crowding into the southern part of the Strip, where the attacks are now concentrated. The UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) has warned of a “catastrophic” situation from a humanitarian point of view.
